Welcome Birdlings

Welcome Birdlings reimagines De Roze Tanker as a site of birth, welcoming the youngsters into a cozy nest, gently held together by soft textiles and blinking warm lights. Starting off with cushions on the floor, the visitors are invited to a more natural use of the dancefloor, offering space to let the party unfold at its own pace.
Following the theme of birth the outside installation consists of a broken car restarting its life as a new being. Transformed through textiles and lighting the installation offers a hideout for new scenarios to unfold.
Collaborating with View of Point, a seasonal event series in Amsterdam, the installation is part of an ongoing project, aiming to translate the characteristics and feeling tied to each specific season.
